Question #1: How would you describe the best reading experience you could possibly have?
I pulled the blanket above my waist as the cool fall breeze gently passed over me. The sun was tucked perfectly away behind the large puffy clouds, allowing the perfect amount of light to peek through. Sounds of the rustling leaves tickled my ears as I turned each page. Everything was so still and quiet. It was never like this in the city! Reading on the porch at my grandparents farm is my favorite place to read. As a child, I didn't appreciate the things that "the country life" had to offer, but as an adult, it has become one of my favorite things. I love reading when I'm alone. I enjoy being able to focus on the words, uninterrupted. I'm a cozy reader! I love quilts (they are my obsession) and nothing makes me happier than snuggling under my favorite quilt with a good book.

Question #2: How would you describe your very best writing experiences?
My best writing experiences involve writing about things of my choice, that are meaningful to me. My best writing is usually inspired by something that I have read, or heard that I want to think about/explore more deeply.  I enjoy writing alone in quiet settings with dim lighting. I'm usually in bed or on the couch.
Question #3: How do you set up these things for the best reading or writing time you could possibly have?
I bring books that reflect topics that I care about, pretty journals to write in and pretty writing utensils. When I read and write I enjoy having soft lighting, a quilt , and minimal noise/distractions. I usually read and write after everyone has gone to bed so that I can be alone with my thoughts about what I am reading or writing.
Question #4: How long does a writing or reading session need to be for you to get really involved and get a lot of work done?
In my experiences with reading and writing, time has never been a factor. What matters most in my reading and writing life is interest level and motivation. If the book or writing involves something that I care about, everything just flows naturally.
Question #5: What is the best place for you to get lots of concentrated writing done?
When reading and writing for my personal enjoyment and growth, I work best in the comfort of my own home, usually somewhere super comfy like my bed or the couch. A relaxing environment and position allow me to open up in a different way that keeps it from feeling like work. It allows it to become a cathartic process that releases tensions ans stresses that I may not have even been aware of.
